If I won £4million on my lunch break I dare say I would tell my shitty little job to go do one and take all my friends out for a crazy party.

Unfortunately though, I’ve never won anywhere even approaching £4million and this guy who did recently is a way better man than me. His name is Amadou Gillen from Trowbridge in Wiltshire and he decided to grab a National Lottery Scratchcard during his break from working at his local Wetherspoons.
Here’s what he had to say:
When I saw the number “4” on the card I knew they didn’t pay out £40, so I knew it had to be £4million.
I scratched off the rest and oh my, I was so excited.
But I put the card back in my pocket, and went back to finish the rest of my shift.
I hope to buy a car with the money. Not a Ferrari or a Porsche, but a Peugeot.
Hopefully I’ll get a small Peugeot and after that and driving for a while and getting experience of driving I’m going to get my dream car.
I took my daughter to Nando’s to tell her the news. She was shocked.
I don’t know which part of that story I like the best because it’s all gold really and tells you just what a humble and respectful man Amadou is. He finished off his shift (maybe even served his whole notice period, who knows), isn’t gonna buy a big flash car and took his daughter to one of the cheapest restaurants around to celebrate.
It’s like he almost hasn’t realised how much money he’s won. I hope someone doesn’t end up screwing him out of it or he doesn’t end up going crazy like these 7 idiots who won a shit tonne of money but blew it all. I’ve got a feeling he’ll be just fine though.
