Anyone who did see that episode witnessed the utterly badass Khaleesi emerge from the Temple of the Dosh Khaleen surrounded in flames and topple the Dothraki patriarchy while everyone who survived bowed at her feet.
It was absolutely awesome, but of course someone out there had to cry about it and this time it’s the turn of the book readers who weren’t happy that a key detail had been altered in the show: Daenerys Targaryen is not immune to fire.
Here’s what the cry-babies are saying:
Once again, the show makes people believe that Targs are immune to fire when they aren't at all in the books #GameofThrones

GRRM: "No, Dany is not always fireproof."
Show: "Uhh…Unburnt is a permanent thing, right?"
GRRM: "No."
Show: "Oops."— Alex Dunn (@AxeloftheKey) May 16, 2016
Boo fucking hoo. I guess the book readers are upset because the TV show has caught up with the books and they no longer feel superior like they did when they knew what was going to happen in seasons 1 – 5. Everyone’s on the same page now. Anything can happen in the TV show because it’s no longer dictated by the books, and they don’t like it one bit.
Sorry GoT book readers, George RR Martin’s Daenerys may not have been immune to fire but the new HBO version of her definitely is. Deal with it!
