That all sounds like a lot of work, yet on top of this, Kirkman has also managed to find the time to write another comic book called Outcast and adapt it into a television series too. It’s the story of Kyle Barnes, a man whose family has been involved with demonic possession since he was a child.
The first trailer just dropped and although it isn’t giving much away it looks like it’s going to be suitably epic and horrific at the same time. So kind of like The Walking Dead but with demons instead of zombies I suppose:
Phew. Looks good eh? It’s set to premiere over in America on June 3rd but there isn’t a UK release date set yet – chances are if you know anything about the internet though it won’t be too hard for you to find a stream for it fairly easily though.
If you want to get more excited about it, the cast list is pretty impressive too with Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous), Philip Glenister (Life on Mars), David Denman (The Office), Lee Tergesen (Oz), Grace Zabriskie (Twin Peaks), and Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation) all being series regulars. The network (Cinemax) has already ordered a second season despite anyone seeing any episodes of the first too which is always a good sign too. Looks like we could have the next cult TV show on our hands.
