If your childhood was anything like mine, you too will have shunned the outside world and instead locked yourself in a room with your SEGA Mega Drive, spending hours and hours flitting between Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe. And ToeJam & Earl if you were feeling a little bit fruity.

Well, now you can relive those classic moments, as SEGA is set to release a brand new online hub, where you can log on and play all of the Mega Drive classics. Available on 28th April via their online platform Steam, the service will be free for gamers who own any one of the SEGA Mega Drive classics, or a small fee if you don’t.
The hub will be set up like a virtual reality bedroom with a shelf of all the classic games ready to play. In addition, the new features include full controller and keyboard support, spot-on emulation, local co-op for games that support it and the ability to stop and save at any point in the game. Exciting stuff. You might not hear from me for the next couple of months because as soon as this is out I am going to be caught up in a world of crappy-graphics and nostalgia.
