Damien Walters has been known to push the boundaries and nail some absolutely crazy stunts over the course of his career but his latest one was crazy even by his standards.

Walters’ idea was to stand on a track and do a standing backflip over a speeding Formula E car. I’m not entirely sure what a Formula E car is, but I’m going to assume that it’s faster and more powerful than a Formula 1 car, thus making the stunt even more dangerous. That’s what I want to think anyway and judging by the video below it does look pretty serious.

They pretty much take you through the whole build up and stunt itself, so there’s not much point describing it here:

Ooof. Yeah, I know Walters managed to nail it but he did not look confident either before or after it did he? He looked like he was completely bricking it when he was standing there and the fact he crossed himself twice afterwards kind of implies to me that he feels like he was pretty lucky to make it through.

Still, he did it and pushed himself to the limit and came out the other side and that’s probably more than most of us can say we did this year. Fair play.
