I’m sure that many of you know who Bree Olson is intimately so I’ll skip the introductions on this one and get straight to the story: Bree Olson is having a hard time of it following her decision to retire from the pornography game in 2011.

Basically, the fact that she’s been a porn star has cast a shadow over her entire life and everywhere she goes people treat her like absolute shit because of her past career as a sex worker. Sometimes she doesn’t even go out of her house for weeks on end because she hates the judgment that she faces from people.

This is actually a surprisingly upsetting video, so be warned before you check it out:

Ouch. I don’t really know what to say about that – it’s not really something I’ve ever thought about in the past, but it’s obviously a humongous problem for women (and men) trying to turn their back on the pornography industry.

Like Bree says, the sooner traditional attitudes towards sex workers change the better. I can’t see it happening any time soon though because as much as everyone enjoys watching porn, the fact is that most people aren’t ever going to respect those that work in it. It’s going to take a long time to change that prevailing attitude unfortunately.
