Donald Trump made a massive mistake in an interview with CNN on Sunday, saying that he didn’t know enough to disavow former Klu Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke.
This is really not good publicity for the Republican candidate — not only does it make him look ill-informed and unaware, but it also displays him as a complete racist, although not sure that will be too much of an issue for his supporters.
In the interview, journalist Jake Tapper asks Trump if he condemns David Duke and other white supremacists, in light of the fact that the former KKK leader took to Facebook to show his support for Trump. Instead of condemning the actions of white supremacy (which he absolutely should have done), Trump admits:
Well just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke. I don’t even know anything about what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists.
It’s racism, Trump, it’s racism and it’s wrong. That is all you need to know.
I love the bit where Trump is waffling on about sending a list of groups so he can research them and then Jake just cuts in with “the Klu Klux Klan?” Come on man.
He has since taken to Twitter to try and amend the situation although I think the damage is already done.

This is worse than the time that he retweeted a message from @WhiteGenocideTM. As said, come on man.
