Terri-Marie Palmer, 23, stabbed Damon Searson, 24, in the heart after sharing this status update on her own Facebook page:
(Damon’s) pissing me off sitting on Facebook, completely blanking me when I’m talking to him.
Soon after, she snapped and plunged a bread knife into his heart while he was still sat messaging people on Facebook.
Terri-Marie then rang 999 and claimed her unemployed BF had accidentally stabbed himself while they were “messing around” in the caravan they shared in Heysham, Lancashire.
However, Preston Crown Court didn’t buy her story and she was convicted of murder and jailed for life.
They had a very unusual relationship from the sounds of it; months before the murder, Damon had shared this topless selfie to FB:
His loving girlfriend’s comment underneath it?
Gross.
His response to that:
Didn’t expect any different to come out of your mouth fucking gobshite.
Another status update from Terri-Marie:
Crying myself to sleep for the second time this week and it’s only Wednesday. Thanks Damon. I’m so angry and hurt I honestly want to fucking stab you.
On the night of the killing, Terri-Marie had sent this FB message to a friend:
He’s a fucking little prick. I’m fuming with him.
Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to be honest, though no one could have anticipated just how awful that disaster would be. Couple’s therapy might have been a shout though I suppose it’s not something a young couple living in a caravan in Heysham would have put too much thought into. Jeremy Kyle maybe? Meh, too late now anyway.
A tad ironic when you consider Facebook’s claim that they know which couples are built for longevity.
