I’ve never really seen anything like this. You know those giant humongous cranes that they get in to build skyscrapers in big cities? Well one of them just straight up collapsed in the middle of New York City, right in the middle of the street in the densely populated TriBeCa area.

Cars were crushed on Worth Street, one person has died (probably the person driving the car in the featured image) and at least two people were injured as the humongous structure plummeted to Earth. Take a look at a couple of pictures of it:

Jesus. Imagine just going about your day wandering around and then a giant fucking crane falls down right next to you. No thanks.
It’s not clear at the moment what caused the crane to fall over, but let’s hope whatever did is discovered soon and corrected so that it’s never ever allowed to happen again, because this is absolutely horrific.
