Artist James Chadderton has produced a set of images that are currently on display in the Incognito Art Gallery, Northern Quarter, Manchester, that show his vision of Manchester as a “human devoid wasteland where the buildings have been left to decay”.
Inspired by the visuals and themes of post apocalyptic films, books and games, James explained that his aim was “to create a series of images that depicted Manchester evacuated, eroded and derelict, as if left to degrade for years – I didn’t want to focus on a single event that caused it, just the aftermath”. Powerful words for powerful images.
