Tyson Fury may not have the most progressive thoughts on women and homosexuals, but what do you expect from a guy who’d be spending his days glassing people in pubs if professional boxing didn’t exist?
Despite his backwards and controversial views, there’s no denying the guy gets it done in the ring — finally claiming the IBF, WBA and WBO world titles the other week following his victory over Wladimir Klitschko.

Unfortunately for Fury he’s just been STRIPPED of the IBF world heavyweight title, because he chose to grant Wladimir a rematch instead of facing the IBF’s mandatory challenger, Vyacheslav Glazo of Ukraine.
Lindsey Tucker, championships chairman at the IBF, said:
It’s true he’s [Fury} been stripped of his IBF belt. Our challenger was Vyacheslav Glazkov, but instead Fury’s gone and signed a rematch clause with Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury had until 11 December to negotiate a deal with Glazkov, but completely blanked him in favour of giving Klitschko his rematch, which he’s hoping will happen in Wembley this time.
The real pisstake now is that Glazkov will still fight for the (now vacant) title, against Charles Martin.
Fury remains the WBA and WBO world champion, and I guess at least he can say no one physically beat him for the IBF belt.
Personally I’d rather he didn’t go 12 underwhelming rounds with Klitschko again, but I suppose that’s the easiest way for him to make a few million on his next fight while being odds-on favourite to win. Just as long as he eventually fights David Haye, I’m happy. Surely he HAS to after what David said about him last week.
