Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be the biggest movie of the year and many of us actually can’t wait until its December 18th release date. That’s if we even managed to get a ticket for it.

Unfortunately though, there are those Star Wars fans out there who might not make it to the release date. One of these people is the terminally ill Daniel Fleetwood, who was so worried that he might not make the premiere of his favourite movie franchise that a Force For Daniel movement was set up to try and make sure that he managed to catch the next instalment of his favourite movie franchise before he passed away.

It came to the attention of Star Wars actors Mark Hamill and John Boyega and both of them got behind it and brought it to the attention of director J.J. Abrams, who decided to grant Daniel’s wish by calling him on the phone to announce that he would be sending an unedited version of the movie over to his house for a screening.

The news was confirmed by Daniel’s partner on Facebook, and later by Hamill too:

Even though it’s far from the perfect fairytale ending to this story – Daniel is still inevitably going to die soon – it’s still great to see that the Hollywood big shots aren’t above granting a dying man his last wish. Nice one J.J. Abrams and we hope that Daniel doesn’t suffer too much in the coming weeks.
