French skier Léo Taillefer was determined to win the $20K prize from GoPro for filming the best run of the winter over the course of this year’s season and boy did he nail it with this one, which did eventually end up winning the grand prize.
The run takes place in Val d’ Isere, Italy near Léo’s current residence so he probably knows it off by heart, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive as he skis through a cool looking cave/canyon at insanely high speeds, even hitting a couple of absolutely gigantic airs on the way down too. Breathtaking stuff and perhaps even crazier than the most insane downhill urban BMX run of all time too.
