Andrew Miksys is a photographer who splits his time between Seattle Washington and Vilnius in Lithuania. He stumbled across the small town Lithuanian disco scene on only his second visit there and became enthralled with it, spying a country in transition as the nation’s lingering Soviet past caught up with its thriving youth culture.
Miksys set out to document his encounters with it over a ten year period. These images now form the basis for his Discko coffee table book which you can buy for a cool $40, or check out some of the best images from it on the slideshow below.
