In a high tempered match between Petrolul Ploiesti and Steaua Bucharest, a fan ran onto the pitch just before half time and punched a Steaua Bucharest player in the ear, causing him to briefly lose his hearing in one ear. After the crazed fan launched his attack he was taken down by the player’s team-mates, who gave him a pretty vicious kicking. He was then dragged off by security, probably to receive another vicious kicking.
The match was later called off after the Steaua Bucharest keeper was hit with a firework, and a flare was thrown onto the pitch. Check out a full video of the attack below:
