Some artist named Candy Chang is obviously a big fan of Sick Chirpse confessions and decided to take the concept and turn it into an art exhibition in Las Vegas – of course.
Candy invited people to write their confessions on wooden plaques in the privacy of confession booths and then displayed them randomly on the walls of the exhibit, as well as choosing to blow up selected responses on 4 X 4 canvasses. Chang then played a haunting score by Oliver Blank as people walked around checking out these horrible things that people had done that they needed to get off their chests. Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
The exhibition had over 1500 confessions by the end of it and is still running if you’re in Las Vegas or visiting. There are a bunch of pictures from the exhibition on the slideshow below (just click on the arrows under the images t0 load up the slides) which feature some of the most brutal and heartbreaking confessions you’ll ever read, although we all know the Sick Chirpse ones are probably better.
