I haven’t really ever wondered if dogs (or any animal for that matter) would react to magic tricks in the same way that humans would but a magician named Jose Ahonen decided to test out the theory and I’m glad he did because the reactions of these dogs are just so cute that it’ll instantly erase all your Monday blues.
The short answer to the question is that dogs do react to magic tricks exactly how a human would for the first time seeing them – with disbelief, fear and puzzlement – and the fact of the matter is that it might be more entertaining performing this kind of magic on dogs rather than humans in the future.
