Two 8 year olds and one 9 year old were busted for smoking weed in the Sonora elementary school bathrooms last week in California. They were caught by another student who snitched on them to the teachers, who then called in the police. The police questioned the kids and released them to their parents.
“I’m shocked”, said one parent. “To be in third grade and have their own pipe.”
Shocked indeed, 8 year olds shouldn’t be smoking weed and they definitely shouldn’t own their own pipes at that age. But as bad as weed might be for their small developing brains we can’t ignore what it does for their reputations as the coolest kids in school. While all the nerds are working away on their times tables, these kids are working out grams and ounces.
