Strangely enough, a bunch of the Oscar nominated movies this year were based on true stories – American Hustle, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Captain Philips to name but a few – and as such the movies had to try and make their leading men and women resemble real life characters.
Of course, some of these transformations are better than others, as you can see in the pictures below. I think that American Hustle and Dallas Buyers Club probably did the best job, but I don’t really think Leonardo DiCaprio looks anything like the real Wolf Of Wall Street. Probably why he didn’t win the Oscar.
