An unnamed Zurich professor was fired from his job – despite having taught at the university for 40 years and being one of its most popular lecturers – because immediately following a class he started surfing for porn on the internet but had accidentally left the cable linking his work computer to the screen.

As such porn ended up all over the lecture screen. There wasn’t actually anyone in the class at the time but students who were watching the lecture online (technology huh?) did catch it. Whoops.

School director René Portenier explained that this behaviour was unacceptable for a teacher in the institution and that as a result of his actions he had to be fired: ‘I am shocked. After the course, the teacher immediately came to me and told me he had watched porn on a school computer. He was very embarrassed and could not tell me why he did it.’

To make the story even more bizarre it turns out that the professor was into some really messed up kind of porn and was searching for pictures of naked women with no arms and legs. I didn’t even know that was a genre of porn.
