4) Gulliver’s Travels, Jonathan Swift
…to learn, among other satirical lessons, that most of the time humans are Yahoos.
First penned in 1726, the original title of the book was “Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World. In Four Parts. By Lemuel Gulliver, First a Surgeon, and then a Captain of Several Ships”. I think the name change was wise.
Gulliver’s Travels has been in print ever since it was first published in the 1700’s which is quite a feat. I’ve not read it but I have watched that film with Jack Black in. Does that count?
