4) Pickle Jar
Sixteen year old Daniel Kovarbasich grew sick and tired of allegedly being raped by family “friend” Duane Hurley, so he smashed Hurley in the head with a 10 lb. pickle jar. Here’s Daniel:

The judge was so sure of Hurley’s paedo activities that Kovarbasich only got 5 years probation.
Note to future murderers: the pickle jar, as with many of these novelty weapons, is insufficient to completely kill someone dead. Kovarbasich had to finish him off with a knife too.
5) Microwave
There’s plenty of urban myths surrounding people damaging creatures in microwaves so I did double-check this story because it seemed so hideous. Unfortunately it’s a true story. China Arnold from Dayton, Ohio said this in her defence: “If I hadn’t gotten so drunk, I guess my baby wouldn’t have died”.
Her one-month old, Paris Talley, died in August 2005 from high-heat internal injuries but had no external burn marks. It took a while for investigators to twig what had actually caused the death. But only the microwave fitted the bill. Arnold was so drunk she said that she didn’t even remember doing it, but then she would say that wouldn’t she. She’s now serving a life sentence with no hope of parole you’ll be pleased to hear.
Note to future murderers: the microwave is incredibly effective but size of victim will be an issue.
