This defective electronic Buzz Lightyear doll is more perverse than it is spooky, with the spinning lights that would usually work at the push of a button only responding to being touched on the groin. It’s just as well because nothing in Disney World is remotely scary, not even the Haunted Mansion ride.
Saying that, half a turn on the Alien Nation ride over a decade ago did scar me for life and render me absolutely useless with all theme park attractions including even the most tamest log flume. You probably don’t even find this clip entertaining in the slightest but I’m currently curled up terrified into the foetal position over the distant memory of my father insisting that it was a “nice” ride full of “friendly” creatures, around ten minutes before pelting out the room screaming blue murder convinced a monstrous space-terror was after me. The happiest place on earth, indeed.
