2. Reptile Cafe, Japan
We’ve all now heard about Japanese cat cafes, this seems to take it one step further. For me, it’s a more hygienic step though, lizards aren’t famed for their fur balls and puking. This little sub tropical cafe in Yokohama is filled with reptiles of all descriptions including turtles, lizards, geckos, snakes, and frogs (I know, frogs are amphibians so I don’t know what that’s about? And why is there a man with a dog on his shoulder at the bottom left of the poster?)
You can handle them, but don’t use a flash and make sure you wash your hands on entry and before leaving. Again, this seems like it’s probably a bit cruel, but at least they’re not eating them (this time).
The other bonus is that the place is always warmed to a tropical temperature. Cozy.
