One of Sigmund Freud’s most famous psychoanalytical theories is the concept of ‘penis envy’, essentially ‘the repressed wish of a female to possess a penis’. Or, as Joey Tribbiani belts out in Freud! The Musical: ‘All you want is a dinkle, what you envy’s a schwang, a thing through which you can tinkle, to play with or simply let hang’.

2. ‘Elephant!’ from The Tall Guy
Before Richard Curtis made Notting Hill or Love Actually, he made The Tall Guy, a cute little sex comedy with Emma Thompson and Jeff Goldblum. The highlight is undoubtedly this musical based on the life of Joseph Merrick – the Elephant Man.
