3) Abandoned Stuff
I know you Chirpsers like a bit of abandoned stuff, and Serbia is the right place to go for decaying concrete. There are loads of abandoned bits and bobs artfully littering the countryside, across the whole of what used to be Yugoslavia. There’s a pretty awesome abandoned church a little bit southwest of Novi Sad, in a small town called Beocin. That might be a good place to start:
There’s also a wealth of abandoned Soviet monuments which look so cool it almost makes me cry a little bit to look at them.
I guess it would be pretty hard to find some of these but I reckon a few hours drive into the middle of nowhere should guarantee at least one sighting.
