Despite being a relatively insular country, when it comes to pollution China are happy to share: sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides fall as acid rain on Seoul and Tokyo. According to the Journal of Geophysical Research, the pollution even reaches as far as Los Angeles. No wonder Vladimir Putin has released a tiger in China to kill all their goats. Maybe it’s an act of revenge?
