Lead poisoning and other types of local pollution continue to kill many Chinese children and a vast section of the ocean is without marine life due to massive quantities of algae caused by unnaturally high amounts of nutrients in the water. The green blooms look pretty awesome but they choke the life out of the water’s normal inhabitants.
