The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard saga has literally been going on for years and everyone in Hollywood abided by the mantra of believing survivors. This meant that Depp was fired from many of his movie roles for his alleged abuse of Heard, whereas she was allowed to continue with playing her character in ‘Aquaman 2’.

However, unlike most #MeToo cases (or however you want to describe them), there has always been a vociferous amount of support for Johnny Depp with the narrative being spun that he was just as much – if not more of – a victim of abuse as Heard. This led to a petition being started by Jeanne Larson when Depp first sued Heard for defamation back in December 2019, demanding that she be removed from ‘Aquaman 2’.
Here’s what the petition said:
I have to share this. I think it’s atrocious what’s happening….DC Entertainment: Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2 – Sign the Petition! https://t.co/KDvg138TKz via @Change

Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women.
This must be recognised, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry.
Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.
Since Heard’s divorce from Johnny Depp, she has systematically crusaded to ruin Depp in Hollywood, repeating multiple accounts of fake incidents in which she had actually abused Johnny Depp, but lied and created false accounts of him being the abuser.
At the time, I remember writing an article saying that the petition had hit 1 million signups and being fairly surprised by it – like I’ve always said, it seems like these two were just as bad as each other – but given how sympathetic Depp has appeared in the past week or so at the trial, it doesn’t surprise me at all to see that another 1 million people have moved to sign it since. At the time of writing, the number sits at 2,063,709 with the aim to reach 3 million before the end of the trial.
I wouldn’t put it past them. If you want to sign it, click here, but I think we might see a different side of things when Heard finally takes the stand in the coming days. Stay tuned.
For more of the same, check out Johnny Depp’s former doorman vaping and driving a car whilst testifying. Very silly behaviour.
