10. Metrodeck Cards

For any of you USA readers you will instantly recognise these. For us Brits it’s not so obvious unless you’ve been to New York. Basically these cards are printed on discarded New York Subway tickets and the outcome is, well, pretty nice. I like the look of these guys and what a great little idea to reuse what is essentially just a load of rubbish. Well played New York.

11. CMYK Cards

The classic symbols are a thing of the past. This deck has stripped the hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs that we all know so well and lets face it, are getting bored of. They’ve only gone and replaced them with Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (Key), the nutters. Not only that but the numbers have had a bit of a facelift and all. Percentages of each colour now determines the number card you have in your hand. Quite a cool idea here, kinda reminds me of those little Dulux colour strips you can get at Wickes.

12. Solitaire.exe Cards

Remember the old Windows 98 games? Solitaire was always a top choice with minesweeper close behind, although that game is properly annoying and I’m shit at it. I swear every block is a bomb and if it’s not then what are those numbers about? Anyway, this deck of cards is a neat replica of the deck you played with on your computer. Its a shame they don’t spring off into a long stream of cards once you win like the computer version did though.
