I imagine that most people reading this probably don’t make $132,000 a year, let alone in a month and I also imagine that nobody reading this is 11 years old either, so in that respect Australian schoolgirl Pixie Curtis has got us beat in every department.

Somehow Pixie has managed to start a successful business empire before she’s even in high school, after launching a multi million dollar organisation through her online shop ‘Pixies Pics’ that sells a range of accessories, but really took off during the pandemic when she started selling fidget toys. Not really sure how she managed to do that, but I suppose if I knew how to do that I would be doing it myself and not writing this dumb blog all the time.
Anyway, Pixie’s mother and manager Roxy Jacenko has now revealed that Pixie is going to take a break from the business as she prepares to join high school:
In short, over the past few months, we have been discussing the business plans going forward as a family and decided that while it has been an amazing journey starting some three years ago, it was time to refocus with high school just around the corner.
While the Pixie’s Pix online store will remain, it will go back to how it began in 2011 – as the best destination for children’s hair accessories and hair bows known as Pixie’s Bows. It’s something that we will manage together and means that there’s less time and pressure on Pixie.
Not sure if that’s a typo because I’m pretty sure that Pixie wasn’t born in 2011 if she’s eleven years old now, but that doesn’t really matter because I’m sure we can all agree that Pixie has completely and utterly smashed it. Imagine making a million dollars more or less before you’re even twelve years old and then kicking back to enjoy high school and probably being the most popular girl around because you’re throwing the sickest house parties all the time because you’re super rich. And then not having to worry about money or really working for the rest of your life either after you’re finished dossing around in high school. 10/10.
