3) Ice Cutter
Before we had fridges small armies of men would travel to frozen ponds and lakes to chop off huge chunks of ice. This ice would then be used in cellars and refrigerators all year round. It was a pretty crap job because you were always out in the cold obviously, and the likelihood of you getting a freezing cold bath was relatively high.
A large ice cutting operation would have a crew of 75 and cut 1500 tons of ice daily. With the advent of mechanical refrigeration and air conditioning technology the position disappeared. I doubt anyone missed it.
