3) Mighty Milk Snakes

Milk snakes use one of the oldest tricks in the book – biomimicry. The milk snake isn’t poisonous at all but it dresses up like it is. They look very similar to the highly poisonous coral snake despite having no power to kill themselves. If you were to come across a snake like this there’s a special little rhyme to recite to help you work out whether it’s a killer or not:
Red next to black is a friend of Jack; red next to yellow will kill a fellow.
Good luck remembering that if you come across a snake in the wild though. I’ve only met a snake in the wild once, it was dead, but even though its head had been chopped off I still wet my pants and just shouted “it’s dead, it’s dead, it’s dead” repeatedly until my primate brain calmed down enough for me to understand what I was seeing.
