4) Giant African Millipede

Again, this is the sort of critter you wouldn’t want to find in your sleeping bag, but it won’t kill you to death. Despite its horrific looks, many people across the globe keep them as pets. Why anyone would want to do that I have no idea, but each to their own, I just won’t be popping round for tea.

These giant millipedes can grow to as long as 15 inches, be nearly 4 inches thick, have 253 legs and live for 10 years. Aaahhhh… cute.
