8) Friedrich Nietzsche
“A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything”
Friedrich Nietzsche wrote several critical texts on religion, morality, contemporary culture, philosophy and science and he sported a ferocious moustache, the likes of which could sink a ship. His most popular work was The Will to Power, which was released posthumously. In fact, he wasn’t well regarded whilst he was alive and wished to give up philosophy to concentrate on gardening, but he sucked at it apparently.
He suffered a life of illness and got syphilis from a brothel (apparently the tash scared off the ladies). He had a mental breakdown after witnessing someone beating a horse.
