9) Poison Dart Frog

This is another guy that’s more poisonous than Katie Hopkins, but don’t worry, it won’t hunt you down. The poison dart frog family are mostly found in South and Central America and they’re chocked full of delicious batrachotoxin. There are around 175 species of poison dart frog and they vary in potency but I wouldn’t pick one up if I were you.

It seems that these colourful little bastards don’t actually make the poison themselves, they take it from the insects they eat and reuse it. The toxin is then exuded through the frog’s skin. The most poisonous member of this family of amphibious miscreants is the golden poison frog (Phyllobates terribilis – picture above); he has enough toxin, on average, to kill ten to twenty men, so definitely do not lick it. Nope.
