8) Extra Eyelid
The plica semilunaris is the eyelid you never knew you had. If you watch a cat blink you can see this white membrane shuffle across the eye. It’s rare in mammals and more common in birds, fish and reptiles. Us humans still have the leftovers of this third eyelid but it no longer moves at our command.
