Requiem For A Dream (2000)

Make no bones about it, smack is bad, and if you need convincing further then you would do well to feat your eyes on this little gem. What Darren Aronofsky offers us is a world of delusion coated with the grim reality often met with drug addiction. The film takes you high when the characters are high, but the lows are outstandingly low. Cue arm amputations, sex show participation and dream sequences which will just punch you in your emotional gut.
